1.1 Personal Information Security

1.3.1 Acceptable Use of KSGAAL’s Websites and Applications

  • The websites and applications of King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language are available for business use. By accessing and entering the portal, you agree to the terms and conditions of use, whether or not you register, and this agreement is effective from the first use of the portal.
  • The use of the portal includes a number of terms and conditions, which may be updated or modified whenever necessary. Any modification or update to these terms and conditions shall become effective immediately upon approval by the General Department of Cybersecurity.
  • Accordingly, the end-user is required to continuously review the terms of use and disclaimers to remain informed of any updates that may be made. The continued use of the portal by the user shall be deemed an acknowledgment of having reviewed any modifications made, and full acceptance of the updated terms and conditions of use.
  • These terms and conditions also include matters related to intellectual property rights. The portal administration shall not be obligated to announce any updates made to these terms.

1.3.2 Restrictions on Use

By using this portal, the end-user agrees to refrain from the following:

  • Providing or uploading files containing software, materials, data, or other information that the user does not own or does not have the right to use.

  • Taking any action that imposes an unreasonable, large, or inappropriate load on the portal’s infrastructure.

1.3.3 Use of Links to KSGAAL’s Websites and Applications

  • Except as stated below, the transfer or copying of any content from the portal, creating any electronic links to it, or displaying any of it in a frame is prohibited.
  • Links to KSGAAL’s websites may be placed on other websites whose objectives and general direction do not conflict with the objectives, policies, and frameworks of these websites.
  • KSGAAL is not considered in any way to be associated with or affiliated with any trademarks, logos, service marks, or any other means used or appearing on websites linked to this portal or any of its contents.
  • KSGAAL reserves the right to stop and obstruct any linkage from any site containing inappropriate, offensive, infringing, obscene, pornographic, or unsuitable topics, names, materials, or information that violate any law or infringe on intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or publicity rights.
  • KSGAAL reserves the right to disable any unauthorized links and is not responsible for the content available on any other site accessed through or from this portal.

1.3.4 Links from KSGAAL’s Websites and Applications

  • Links to other portals and/or websites or applications are provided for the convenience of the end-user. KSGAAL is not responsible for the content or credibility of the portals and/or websites linked to it and does not endorse their content. Therefore, using any of these links to access such sites or portals is entirely at your own risk.

1.3.7 Use of Artificial Intelligence Technologies on KSGAAL’s Websites and Applications

KSGAAL may use artificial intelligence technologies in its websites and applications to improve the user experience and provide services such as virtual assistance, smart search, automated translation or summarization, content personalization, and analysis of user inquiries. Such technologies must be used in accordance with the approved privacy and cybersecurity policies, without compromising the confidentiality of information or users’ rights. Users must be notified that automated outputs may be for guidance purposes only and shall not be considered an official or final reference unless approved by KSGAAL. Users must not enter confidential or sensitive information or login credentials into virtual assistance services or any AI-powered service, unless the service is designated and authorized for such use.

1.3.8 Limitation of Liability

It should be understood and acknowledged that communications over the Internet may be subject to interference or interception by third parties. As such, accessing this portal remains at the user’s own risk, and KSGAAL shall not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind incurred due to the user’s use of or visit to the portal, reliance on any statement, opinion, or advertisement on the portal, or resulting from any delay in operation, connection issues, internet access problems, equipment or software malfunctions, or the behaviour or ideas of any person accessing this portal. The user hereby acknowledges and agrees that the sole and exclusive remedy for any damage or loss resulting from accessing or using this portal is to refrain from using or accessing it.

1.3.9 Indemnification

By using this portal, the user agrees and acknowledges not to take any action against KSGAAL or any of its departments for any form of compensation. KSGAAL is also not responsible for any claims resulting from the user’s breach of the terms of use or any applicable laws in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or their place of residence.

1.3.10 Termination of Use

KSGAAL may, at its sole discretion, terminate, restrict, or suspend the user’s right to access and use the portal without notice for any reason, including violation of the terms and conditions of use or any other conduct deemed illegal or harmful to others by KSGAAL. In the event of termination, the user will no longer be permitted to access this portal.

1.3.11 Intellectual Property Rights

Any modification of the portal’s content is strictly prohibited. The graphics and images on this portal are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced or used in any way without prior written permission from KSGAAL.

1.3.12 Jurisdiction

The user agrees to submit exclusively to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for all claims and disputes arising from their use of this portal.

1.3.13 Other Provisions

  • All security controls and requirements for passwords mentioned in the Password Policy and implemented by KSGAAL must be followed, including selection, maintenance, sharing, and other controls and requirements.
  • This policy shall be reviewed at the time of any major change(s) in the existing business environment affecting policies and procedures, or at least once every year.

Part Two: Exceptions

  • It is forbidden to bypass any cybersecurity policies without prior official authorization from the Cybersecurity Committee, based on the recommendation of the Director of Cybersecurity and the nature of the affected controls, unless they conflict with the relevant regulatory requirements. The exception shall be valid for a specific period approved by the Director of Cybersecurity and shall be reassessed and re-approved when necessary.
  • Requests for exceptions to this policy must be submitted to the Cybersecurity Director, including the specific provisions to be exempted, justifications, and the requested duration of the exemption, which should be approved by the Cybersecurity Director.
